Nina Davies and David Perry
Nina Davies a Cognitive-Behavioural Hypnotherapist. She is highly experienced in treating recovery from addictions (including smoking cessation), stress and anxious thought, phobias and mild depression. She specialises in working with clients who are preparing for or recovering from operations, providing complementary hypnotherapy to manage pain and promote wellbeing and healing.
Nina grew up in Singapore and the UK. She studied Social Anthropology at Sussex University and later Identity and Gender Studies at Leeds. She has practiced mindfulness for over 20 years, during which time she noticed how interrupting negative cycles of thought can bring positive change. Inspired by this experience, she train with the UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy in order to help her clients to transform their own problematic patterns of thought and behaviour.
David Perry is a Recovery Coach and qualified addiction therapist with 20 years experience across the voluntary and statutory sectors. In the last two years he has started to offer his skills to private clients, applying what he has learnt in the fields of addiction and mental health to help anyone who wishes to transform their lives. David uses cognitive behavioural techniques that target thought cycles that maintain anxiety and addiction and he works to enhance his clients' support networks, facilitating positive lifestyle changes.
David grew up in Surrey and studied Languages at Goldsmiths. He later worked at the NHS Leeds Addiction Unit where he received his professional qualification. Dave has a broad range of interests, including gardening, mechanics and carpentry and actively working with self-help groups. He uses this knowledge of community based activities to improve the social networks of his clients.
